Baseball: Bethany snaps losing streak with 4-3 win over Northland

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Bethany College baseball team snapped a seven game losing streak after defeating Northland, 4-3, to close out their spring break trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Northland crossed the plate first after a bases loaded wild pitched. The Jacks added two more runs to take the early, 3-0 lead over the Bison in the first.
  • In the fourth, the Bison began to chip away at the Jacks' lead. Josh Speaker stole home putting the Bison on the board.
  • The sixth inning saw the Bison deadlock the game and take the lead. Payton Zupko scored on a wild pitch and with bases loaded, Sonny Peluchette drew a walk that scored Nick Roell. A sacrifice fly by Derek Black drove in Josh Speaker to give the Bison the lead.
