Baseball: Bethany snaps losing streak with 4-3 win over Northland
AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Bethany College baseball team snapped a seven game losing streak after defeating Northland, 4-3, to close out their spring break trip to the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Northland crossed the plate first after a bases loaded wild pitched. The Jacks added two more runs to take the early, 3-0 lead over the Bison in the first.
- In the fourth, the Bison began to chip away at the Jacks' lead. Josh Speaker stole home putting the Bison on the board.
- The sixth inning saw the Bison deadlock the game and take the lead. Payton Zupko scored on a wild pitch and with bases loaded, Sonny Peluchette drew a walk that scored Nick Roell. A sacrifice fly by Derek Black drove in Josh Speaker to give the Bison the lead.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Trey Mantle earned the win for the Bison, pitching 8.0 innings and striking out eight. He gave up one hit.
- Sonny Peluchette and Derek Black had one RBI each.
- Josh Speaker scored twice.
- Speaker, Nick Roell, and Hunter Rhoades had two hits each.
