GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Bethany College men's soccer team traveled north to Grove City College for a PAC matchup Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines edged the Bison 4-2.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Grove City scored the first two goals of the match to take an early 2-0 lead.
- Bethany's Sylvanus Foday scored in the 19th minute and in the 37th minute to knot the match at 2-2.
- The Wolverines took the lead after scoring off a penalty kick in the 56th minute.
- The Wolverines added another goal in the 72nd minute to secure the win.
MATCH NOTES
- Both teams were even on shots with Grove City having the slight advantage, 12-11.
- Modou Faye, Fausto Gionchetti, Sheldon Christian and Nathan Greaves all had an assist.
- The Wolverines have outscored their opponents 24-3, before today's match they held a 20-1 advantage.
