Men's Lacrosse: Bison Fall in PAC Opener to Tomcats

Greenville, Pa. – The Bethany College men's lacrosse opened up PAC regular season play against the Thiel Tomcats at Alumni Stadium. The Bison dropped the opener 14-9 to the Tomcats. Freshman Josh Allegra led the Bison with three goals and Khoury Kloss had a team high four assists.  

GAME OVERVIEW

Thiel scored on the first possession of the game taking a 1-0 lead. A few minutes later, Aarin Burton hit the back of the net knotting the game a 1-1. The Tomcats scored the next three goals taking a 4-1 lead. Nick Melita cut the deficit in half, 4-2 with under three minutes to go in the first period. Bethany added one more goal in the opening period from an Aarin Burton shot. The Bison trailed 5-3 after one.

In the second quarter, Thiel outscored Bethany 2-1. Josh Allegra scored from a Kloss assist. After the break Thiel continued momentum outscoring the Bison 4-1.

The Bison opened up the fourth quarter scoring the first two goals, both from freshman Andre Currie. The Tomcats tacked on three more goals, building the lead back up. Bethany would end the game scoring the last two goals both coming from freshmen Tyler Britton and Josh Allegra.
