WILLIAMSPORT, PA. (Sept. 9) - A pair of strikes off the foot of freshman Grace Chambers (Uniontown, Pa./Laurel Highlands) lifted the Bethany College Women's Soccer team to 2-1 victory over Lycoming College, Sunday, September 9.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Entering the second half scoreless, Bethany got itself on the board with an unassisted Chambers goal in the 58th minute.

Lycoming answered back with a goal of their own six minutes later to even the score at one apiece.

The Bison did not stay silent for long as the Chambers tallied her fifth goal for the campaign after winning a scrum off a corner kick by senior Lindsey Cornish (McKeesport, Pa./South Allegheny).
MATCH NOTES

In her first appearance donning the Green and White, junior goalkeeper Sammie Weiss (Taylorstown, Pa./McGuffey), tallied 14 saves. Weiss' stops are the most for a keeper since 2017 when Anna Riddle recorded 15 saves against Washington & Jefferson (Oct. 25, 2017).

Cornish's helper marks her second for the season and is a team-high, while Weiss' continues to lead the Bison with 11 points this year.

Despite being out-shot by Warriors, 27-9, Bethany eventually came out on top, 2-1.
