Men's XC Team Picked 11th in Preseason Poll

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College men's cross country team was picked to finish 11th in the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) preseason poll, in a vote of the conference coaches, the league announced today (August 30, 2024).  

 

"This season is not only an opportunity for individual growth and achievement, but also a chance to lay the groundwork for our upcoming track and field season," said Bethany Bison Cross Country Head Coach Jordan Johnson. "The experiences we share and the challenges we overcome in cross country will undoubtedly strengthen our cohesion and performance in the months ahead." 

 

The Bison compete individually at the PAC Championships, removing them from title contention. They collected 11 points, placing them last in the preseason conference team poll.

 

The number one team voted upon came within a single point with Saint Vincent taking the throne earning 90 points and six first place votes. Washington and Jefferson was right behind with 89 points and four first place votes. Geneva received a first place nod and 83 points, placing them third.

 

Following the Golden Tornadoes was Grove City (70), Allegheny (61), Franciscan (59), Waynesburg (51), Westminster (40), Chatham (26), Thiel (25), and BETHANY (11). 

 

The Bethany Cross Country team will travel to Westmoreland Community College today (August 30, 2024) to compete in the 14th Annual Wolfpack Invitational. The race will begin at 6 p.m.
