Women's XC Team Predicted 11th in Preseason Poll

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College women's cross country team was picked to finish 11th in the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) preseason poll, in a vote of the conference coaches, the league announced today (August 30, 2024).  

 

"While we may not be the largest squad, we make up for it with heart and discipline," said Bethany Bison Cross Country Head Coach Jordan Johnson. "I truly believe that our team's spirit and determination will set a positive tone for this season. Each of them brings unique strengths and qualities that contribute to the overall success of our program. I am looking forward to what we will continue to build together." 

 

The Bison collected 11 points, placing them last in the preseason conference poll.

 

Grove City claimed the top spot with eight first place votes and 96 total points. Allegheny came in second place with a pair of first place votes and 88 points.

 

Following the Gators was Geneva (77), Saint Vincent (74), Washington and Jefferson (67), Franciscan (60 and a first place selection), Waynesburg (46), Westminster (34), Chatham (30), Thiel (22), and BETHANY (11).

 

The Bethany Cross Country team will travel to Westmoreland Community College today (August 30, 2024) to compete in the 14th Annual Wolfpack Invitational. The race will begin at 6 p.m.

 

PAC RUNNER TO WATCH:

Mary Tracey was the selection for the Bison.
