Beaver Falls, Pa. –The Bethany College Men's basketball team returned to the hardwood to face the Geneva College Golden Tornadoes in a PAC matchup. The Bison fell 80-64 to the Golden Tornadoes inside Metheny Fieldhouse Tuesday evening.
GAME FLOW
- Asa Klimchock had the first field goal of the game to give the Bison an early 2-0 lead.
- Both teams battled back and forth, for the first few minutes until Geneva's offense heated up.
- The Golden Tornadoes used a 20-6 run to build an 11 point lead with 12:24 to go in the half.
- After trailing 36-16, the Bison used an 8-0 run to cut the deficit.
- Bethany trailed Geneva 44-30 at the half.
- The Bison started out the second half with a layup from Trent Uphold, but the Golden Tornadoes responded with a three from downtown.
- Bethany cut the Geneva lead to ten multiple times throughout the second half, but could never get past the hump into single digits.
IN THE BOX SCORE
- Travis Zimmerman led the Bison with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
- Brendan Riggs added 15 points (5-for-10 from three).
- Derek White Jr. had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists.
