Men's Volleyball: Bison fall to Golden Tornadoes
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Bethany College men's volleyball team fell to Geneva College, 3-0 inside Metheny Fieldhouse, Wednesday evening.
THE MATCHUP
- Geneva 3, Bethany 0 (25-13, 25-9, 25-14)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Tornadoes opened the match with the first eight points. Bethany's first point would come off a Golden Tornadoes' attack error. The lead increased to 16-4 and the Bison would eventually fall 25-13 in the first set.
- In set two, Bethany hung with Geneva for the opening set points. The Bison trailed 3-2 and then the Golden Tornadoes took what little momentum the Bison had and ran with it. Geneva led 12-4 until a service error gave Bethany their fifth point. Geneva would take the second set 25-9.
- Bethany had a short lived lead in the final set. A Geneva five point run extended the Golden Tornadoes' lead, 6-2. Geneva's lead swelled to 13-6 and would eventually take the third set, 25-14.
MATCH NOTES
- Tyler Johnson had four kills and six digs.
- Leonardo Locatelli led the team with seven digs.
- Alexander Blair had 10 assists.
