Softball: Wise Earns PAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

Greenville, Pa. – Sophomore pitcher Josie Wise was named PAC Pitcher of the Week after her performance last week for the Bison.

Wise went 3-0 with a save last week to help Bethany post a 4-3 record during its Spring Break trip. She made five appearances and threw three complete games, including two shutouts.

The Canton, Ohio native pitched 24.0 innings and finished the week with a 1.17 earned-run average. She fanned 34 batters and gave up just four walks. She allowed two hits and struck out 15 in Bethany's season-opening 6-0 shutout victory against St. Mary's (Ind.).

The weekly laurel is Wise's second of her career and first of the season.

The Bison return to action on Thursday, March 17 against Penn St.-Greater Allegheny at 3:30 pm.
