Donovan Hayden Named PAC Defensive Player of the Week

Sept. 6 - GREENVILLE, Pa. - Senior linebacker Donovan Hayden (Hyattsville, Md./Northwestern) has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his opening day performance against Ursinus.

Hayden led the Bison defense, which forced six turnovers, including his own 40-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the second quarter versus the Bears.

The linebacker racked up 10 tackles in the contest, including three for a loss, two sacks, along with the fumble recovery.

The Hyattsville, Md. native has led the Bison in tackles each of the last two seasons and is only the second player in school history to eclipse 100 tackles in back-to-back seasons.

With the 23-13 win over Ursinus, it gave the Bison their first opening day win since 2011.
