MLAX: Bison Fall to Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Ohio – Senior Tyler Britton scored four times with one assist, but the Bethany College men's lacrosse team fell to Wilmington, 9-7, in non-conference action inside Williams Stadium.

Britton scored once in the first period, twice in the second period, and added a goal in the fourth. His last goal pulled the Bison to within one goal with more than 13 minutes remaining. It was the first of two times Bethany got to within a single goal in the fourth period, and unfortunately, each time – Wilmington had an answer.

Bethany entered the second period trailing by a pair of goals, but Britton sparked the Bison with two of BC's three goals to begin the period and give the Bison its first lead of the contest. The teams traded goals to end the half, and Bethany took a one-goal lead into half.

Wilmington dominated the third period with four straight goals coming out of the intermission to take a three-goal lead. Bethany ended the third and started the fourth with a goal to get within one. However, BC couldn't net the equalizer.

Sophomore Ethyn Taylor added a pair of goals.
