MLAX: Bison Concludes Four-Game Road Swing

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Bethany College men's lacrosse team concluded a stretch of four consecutive road games with a 17-4 loss to Muskingum Tuesday in non-conference action.  

Muskingum scored the first nine goals, including all seven goals in the first half, to open the game.  

Senior Cameron Russo had his hand in both goals, a goal and an assist, as the Bison pulled to within 9-2. Junior Justice Smith tallied the first Bethany goal. The Muskies scored three of the last four goals of the first half for the 12-3 halftime lead.  

The Muskies scored all four goals in the third period, and each team tallied a goal in the fourth. Bethany's marker was scored by Smith with freshman Chance Funari getting his first career assist. 

INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES 

  • Smith tallied his first multi-goal game of the season.  

  • It was the first game this season Tyler Britton failed to score. 

Bethany (0-4) plays its first home game of the season, hosting Anderson 1 p.m. Sunday.
