MLAX: Russo Named PAC Offensive POW
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Bethany College men's lacrosse player Cameron Russo has been named the Presidents' Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today (Monday, March 3, 2025).
It's the first conference recognition honor for Russo, and the first since Tyler Britton and Ethyn Taylor earned the league's weekly laurel in April of last season.
"Cam is a bonafide stud," said Bethany College Head Lacrosse Coach Harold Pallone III. "In the short time I've known Cam, I have found he has top-tier vision, and it can translate to any level as a player or future coach. He is a lead by example player and captain for us, and we have the upmost trust in him moving forward. He truly exemplifies the type of man you are looking for in a student athlete, the sky is the limit for him this year."
In Bethany's first win of the season Sunday, a 19-11 result over Anderson, Russo was phenomenal. The senior midfielder tallied four goals with five assists for a career-high tying nine points. He added three ground balls and a caused turnover in the win.
Russo was responsible for half of Bethany's scoring in the loss to Muskingum earlier in the week.
Bethany (1-4 overall, 0-1 PAC) returns to action 7 p.m. Wednesday, hosting future PAC member Hiram.
