PAC, ECAC select Sallah-Mohammed Field Athlete of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. (Feb. 21) - For the second time this season, Bethany College men's track & field sophomore Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) was named the Eastern College Athletic Confernece (ECAC) Division III South Region Field Athlete of the Week.

Sallah-Mohammed was also named the PAC Field Athlete of the Week the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Sallah-Mohammed won both the triple jump and the long jump at Saturday's Kenyon Classic in Gambier, Ohio. He won the long jump with a mark of 6.69 meters and also earned medalist honors in the triple jump with a jump of 13.42 meters. Sallah-Mohammed also added a third place finish in the high jump with a leap of 1.88 meters.

The PAC weekly award is the fourth this season for Sallah-Mohammed. He owns the top marks in the PAC this season in both events and also ranks among the top-20 in NCAA Divison III in the long jump. 

The Bison men's track & field team will compete in the PAC Indoor Championships later this week on Thursday, February 22 at the WATTS Facility in Youngstown, Ohio.
