Volleyball: Bethany Advances to PAC Championship

Bethany, W.Va. – The #2 seed Bethany Bison swept the #3 seed Chatham Cougars to advance to the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship for the first time since 2018. Bethany will face #1 seed Westminster Saturday afternoon in New Wilmington, Pa.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Bethany and Chatham battled back and forth in the first set. The Bison held on to win 27-25.
  • In set two Bethany kept the momentum earning a 25-19 set win.
  • Chatham led for most of the third set and led 18-15 before the Bison climbed back and took a 20-19 lead and never looked back. The Cougars attempted to claw back but the Bison held on for the final set win.  

BY THE NUMBERS

  • Riley Felton led the Bison with seven blocks (three solo) and added eight kills.
  • Emma Marthins added a team-high nine kills and six blocks (one solo).
  • Asia Crim had a team-high 20 digs.
  • Alaina Torres dished 27 assists.
  • The Bison had a block party, totaling 22 blocks on the night.  

WHAT'S NEXT?  

With the win over Chatham, Bethany advances to the PAC Championship on Saturday, November 6. The Bison will face the Westminster Titans at 4:30 pm in New Wilmington, Pa.
