Cross Country competes at Carnegie Mellon Invitational

PITTSBURGH (Oct. 7) – The Bethany College cross country teams ran in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational Saturday morning at Schenley Park.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- The Bison men were led by senior Ryan Donnelly (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills), who recorded a top-50 finish in the event that featured nearly 150 participants. Donnelly crossed the tape at 28 minutes, eight seconds to claim 42nd overall.
- Junior Jordan Castro (Wahiawa, Hawaii/Leilehua) finished just off of Donnelly's pace at 28 minutes, 43.2 seconds to record a 57th overall time in the event for the men.
- Senior Michaela Ross (Wahiawa, Hawaii/Leilehua) led the Bison women in their race with an 80th-place time at 22 minutes, 22.9 seconds amongst the more than 125 competitors.
- Senior Elizabeth Timas (Middlefield, Ohio/Cardinal) posted the second-fastest time for Bethany at 23 minutes, 20.9 seconds to place 85th overall.
UP NEXT
- Bethany will return to competition next Saturday, October 14 when they compete at the annual Oberlin Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio.
- The race will be the final tune-up for the Bison prior to the October 28 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships.
