Baseball: Bethany Swept on Road by Wolverines

Grove City, Pa. – The Bethany College baseball team traveled to Grove City for a PAC doubleheader, Friday afternoon at Jack Behringer Field.  The Wolverines swept the Bison, 8-0 and 5-2.  

Game One Overview

Grove City 8, Bethany 0

Wolverines pitcher Tate Ostrowski threw a perfect game against the Bison in game one. He struck out 10 and earned a strikeout to end the game.

The Bison struck first taking a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Kevin Pollock doubled to right center driving in Kyle Goodwin. Moments later, Luke Beatty flew out to centerfield, allowing Ryan Anselmino to tag up and score.

The Bison held the lead until the seventh inning. The Wolverines cut the Bison lead in half in the fifth and took a 5-2 lead in the seventh. The Bison were unable to bounce back and regain the lead.

The Bison return to the field on Saturday morning to complete the four game series against the Wolverines. The first game is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am.
