Men's Tennis takes down Westminster 6-3

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (April 8) - the Bethany College men's tennis team defeated Westminster 6-3 in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match.

With the victory, Bethany improves to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the PAC, while Westminster falls to 0-10 overall and 0-4 in the conference.

In doubles action, Rhone Thrash (Parkersburg, W. Va./Parkersburg South) and Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) got things started winning 8-4, followed by Chris Ray (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) and Jack Waters (Epsom, United Kingdom/Glyn School) winning their match 8-1. As a team, the Bison headed into singles play up 2-1.

Thrash started off single's action with wins 6-1 and 6-3. After dropping second singles, Waters, Ray and Jay O'Donnell (Cardiff, Wales/Radyr Comprehensive) won the next three matches to help the Bison cruise to victory.
