Women's Basketball Struggles Against Saint Vincent

Latrobe, Pa – The Bethany College women's basketball team traveled to Latrobe, Pa for a PAC road contest against the Saint Vincent Bearcats. The Bison were handed an 89-47 loss to the Bearcats. Sophomore Courtney Walker led the Green and White with 16 points. Junior Allison Kuhn added 15 points and six rebounds.

GAME OVERVIEW

Bethany started off the game cold, which allowed the Bearcats to jump out to a commanding 25-5 lead. The Bison's five points in the first came from a Courtney Walker jumper and a Haylie Glass three. Going into the break, the Green and White trailed 43-18.

In the second half, the Bison attempted to claw back, but the first quarter deficit was too much for the Bison to overcome. Bethany shot 32.6 percent from the field and 56.3 percent from the foul line. The Bearcats out rebounded the Bison 44-29 and scored 20 points on second chance opportunities. Turnovers proved costly for the Green and White, giving the Bearcats 36 points off of turnovers.
