Hamrick Has Career-Best Performance in Loss to Titans

Bethany, W.Va – The Bethany College men's basketball face the Westminster Titans in a Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) contest inside Hummel Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon. The Titans pulled away to defeat the Bison, 90-70. Senior Dalton Hamrick had a career-high 29 points. Freshman Aundray Farmer tailed nine points and nine boards for the Green and White.

GAME OVERVIEW

Westminster jumped out to a quick 10-0 run before Bethany landed on the scoreboard. Freshman Aundray Farmer lifted the lid for the Bison after seven minutes of play went by. The Bison trailed by as many as 12 in the first half, however, the Green and White battled to cut the deficit to eight heading into the break. The Titans lead 39-31 at the intermission.

Coming out of the break, the Bison struck first from a layup off the hands of Travis Zimmerman to cut the gap to six. The Bison and Titans would exchange buckets the first three minutes of the second half. Moments later, the Titans extended their lead to 16 after a few missed possessions for the Green and White. Westminster held onto a commanding lead for the remainder of the second half.

The Bison cut the lead to ten multiple times throughout the half, but the Titans would answer to keep the lead out of the Green and White's reach. Westminster secured a 90-71 victory over Bethany improving to 2-0 (2-0 PAC), while with the loss, Bethany falls to 0-2 (0-2 PAC).
