Men's Basketball Falls to Chatham on the Road

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Bethany College men's basketball traveled to Pittsburgh, Pa. for a Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) contest against the Chatham Cougars, Wednesday evening. Despite having five in double figures, the Bison fell 83-70 to the Cougars. Derek White Jr. led the Bison with 14 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. In addition, Dylan Furlong netted 14 points and eight boards.

GAME OVERVIEW

Bethany jumped out to a 9-0 run and held the lead until the 10 minute mark of the first half. Chatham and Bethany went back and forth for most of the first half with the deficit within three points. The Bison shot a hot 50 percent (6-of-12) from three and 56 percent from the field. The score was deadlocked at 34-34 heading into the intermission.

In the second half, both teams exchanged buckets which led to six lead changes. After Bethany knotted the score three times, Chatham pulled away in the final three and half minutes. Turnovers proved costly for the Bison. The Cougars were able to capitalize and score 24 points from the Bison 19 turnovers.

Bethany shot 49.1 percent from the field and out rebounded the Cougars 39-30.
