Prior to the season being interrupted, how was the year going - what was the team's expectations and goals?

The season was going really well for everyone on the team.  I was ecstatic for all my teammates and the way they were performing, especially when we went to indoor PACs it was amazing to see so many of our athletes on the podium representing our school.  I really don't think our team had any expectations besides going out there and giving 100% in every race and if we had the chance to win a championship.

What are your personal career goals? Jobs, internships, interests moving forward?

I just want to provide for my daughter in the years to come and make sure she is taken care of also I hope to work in my field of course going forward. My mom and I have discussed an opportunity to work at the courthouse in Washington County as a criminal psychologist.

Do you have any advice for your younger teammates or recruits that are looking at coming to Bethany?

Yes, for the younger teammates especially the juniors please take this opportunity to reflect on how blessed you are to do the sport(s) you do. DO NOT take your workouts or any practice for granted because it CAN be taken away from you just like this spring season unexpectedly. The freshman class I was pleased with how you came in and worked your butts off and even pushed us upperclassman to become better every day. All I have to say to the recruits is coming in I know it's hard to be in the middle of nowhere but the people around you will become your family just stick it out and it'll grow on you I promise. The coaches just want the best out of you not just on the field but most importantly in the classroom and as a person. Finally, ASK for HELP do not feel ashamed to go up to a teacher or coach if you don't understand something that's what they are there for.

What has it meant to you being a Bison?

Honestly when I first came to Bethany, I didn't understand what it meant to be a "Bison" but around my Junior and Senior year you really figure out how much wearing the green and white means. I don't really know what other colleges are like around me but the professors and coaches really become like family to you when outside of the classroom, they are really there for you and build a close relationship with you. I didn't also realize how much the school meant to me until having to do online classes.

Who has supported you during your time as a student-athlete?

My whole entire family has supported me along with my past and present coaches.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic caused the 2020 spring sports to be cancelled. Bethany College wants to thank all of our seniors for representing the Bison in a positive manner and for all their hard work and dedication over their careers at Bethany.
