PAC Releases Women's Soccer Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Bethany College women's soccer team is selected to finish tenth in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) this fall.

Westminster College is the league's favorite, according to the PAC's annual preseason poll, which is voted on by the conference's 11 head coaches.

Bethany, led by fourth-year head coach Alyssa Finelli, boasts 27 total points, with a 2021 season record of 4-12 (0-9 PAC).

On this year's PAC Players to Watch list is senior goalkeeper Corinne Grabow (Morgantown, W.Va./University) and sophomore forward Mary Marshall (Steubenville, Ohio/Steubenville).

Marshall earned All-PAC Honorable Mention honors last season after finishing with seven goals and three assists, while Grabow finished the season with 63 saves with a save percentage of .685.

"We're only a few days into the fall season, but it is clear that this team is ready to make their mark this year. While we may be a young team, we have players from all years who have already stepped up as leaders, including our captains, Corinne Grabow, Makayla Crownover, and Myia Kirwan," says Finelli. "The energy the team has brought to every session has been contagious, and we are excited to see where this season takes us."

The Bison open the 2022 season on Friday, Sept. 2, at La Roche beginning at 5 p.m.
