Women's Soccer: Bison Edge Beavers

BLUFFTON, Ohio  – The Bethany College women's soccer team traveled to Bluffton, Ohio for a non-conference contest against the Bluffton University Beavers, Saturday afternoon.  The Bison defeated the Beavers, 2-1.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• Bethany took the lead two minutes into the match after Myia Kirwan scored from a pass from Jada Benjamin.
• The Beavers scored in the 28^th minute to knot the match at 1-1.
• Bethany's Mary Marshall scored the game winning goal with the assist coming from Jada Benjamin and Monica Bird.

BY THE NUMBERS

• Bethany and Bluffton were even on shots with the Beavers taking the slight advantage, 10-9.
• The Bison had four shots on goal, while the Beavers had just two shots on goal.
• Bethany held the advantage taking 6 corner kicks to Bluffton's five.

INSIDE THE MATCH

• Freshman goalkeeper Alessandra Ferrazzano earned her first career win.
