LATROBE, Pa. (April 18) - The Bethany College men's lacrosse team was dealt a 23-0 loss by league-leading Saint Vincent in a Ohio River Athletic Conference (ORLC) game Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Saint Vincent, currently in first-place in the ORLC standings, continued its dominance of the league with nine-unanswered goals in the first quarter to set the tone.
  • The Bearcats put the game on ice with seven goals in the second quarter to take a 16-0 lead into halftime, before adding several markers in the second half.

MATCH NOTES

  • Bethany senior Sean Rhodes (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) made 18 saves on 41 shots on goal in the loss.
  • The Bearcats out-shot Bethany 67-12 in the match.
  • The Bison held their own in the face-off department, winning 13 of the 27 draws.
  • Saint Vincent played 40 different players in the match, including four different goalies.
