Men's Lacrosse places five on All-ORLC teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. (May 7) - Five members of the Bethany College men's lacrosse team were named to All-Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) teams announced the league office on Monday afternoon.

Seniors Bryan Uth (Hedgesville, W.Va./Hedgesville), Shaka Conteh (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams), Majied Bey (Oakland, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) and Caleb Staudenbaur (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Kenston) were all named Honorable Mention All-ORLC, while senior goalie Sean Rhodes (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) was selected to the All-ORLC Sportsmanship Team.

Uth leaves the program as the all-time leader in faceoffs won (509) and groundballs (342). He also ranks fifth all-time with 43 goals.

Conteh, who was a second-team All-ORLC selection last year, finished with nine goals and nine assists in his career, including five goals this season. He also has 143 ground balls which ranks sixth all-time at Bethany and 48 caused turnovers which ranks second all-time.

Bey, playing in only his second season, had two assists, 14 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers for the Bison.

Staudenbaur, who was an ORLC Honorable Mention selection on defense last year, enjoyed a solid season this year with 34 caused turnovers to propel himself into third all-time at Bethany in the category with 46.

Rhodes, who was an ORLC Honorable Mention in 2016, recently finished his career second all-time in school history with 664 career saves.
