Bison Split to Open The Spring Games

CLERMONT, Fl.- The Bethany College softball team kicked off The Spring Games in Clermont, Florida Monday morning. Bethany faced Husson University Eagles and Beloit College Buccaneers on the first day. The Bison defeated the Eagles, 2-1 and fell to the Buccaneers late in the seventh inning, 4-3.

Game One Overview

Bethany Edges Husson, 2-1  

The Bison got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when Tyra Bell singled to centerfield to score Tatum Barrass. The Green and White held onto the lead until the third inning when the Eagles plated a run from a stolen base. In the bottom of the sixth, Tyra Bell continued to have a hot bat, when she went yard to give Bethany the lead.

Game Two Overview
Bethany fall in the seventh inning to Beloit, 4-3

The Bison took at 3-0 lead in the top of the second. Erica Amoroso singled to left field to drive in Jennifer Oberthur. Moments later, Gabriella Capaldi doubled to right field to drive in Tyra Bell and Erica Amoroso. Bethany held onto a 3-2 lead heading into the final inning. The Buccaneers plated two runs to steal the game away from the Bison.
