Softball Splits on Day Three of Spring Games

CLERMONT, Fl.- The Bethany College softball team continued play at The Spring Games Thursday afternoon. Bethany faced Juniata College and Pitt-Greensburg. The Bison split on the day, defeating the Eagles, 5-3, and fell to the Bobcats, 7-0.  

Game One Overview

Bethany Defeats Juniata, 5-3    

The Bison took an early 1-0 lead after Paige Allen reached on an error which allowed Angela Brandel to score. In the third, Juniata took the lead 3-1. Bethany cut the lead in half after Tyra Bell hit a sacrifice fly that allowed Tatum Barrass to score. The Green and White knotted the game after Kathleen Fuchs drove in Paige Allen. The Bison continued to score in the fifth when Tyra Bell hit a homerun to give the Green and White the lead. The Bison sealed the win in the sixth adding another insurance run.
