Daugherty earns PAC Player of the Week laurels

GREENVILLE, Pa. (Nov. 21) – After registering a pair of double-doubles last week, Bethany College junior forward Kelsea Daugherty (Newport, Ohio/Frontier) was selected as the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week announced the league Monday afternoon.

Daugherty posted double-doubles in back-to-back games to start Bethany's season, averaging 27.5 points, 14.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game during a 1-1 week.

She registered a career-high 31 points on 9-of-19 shooting, including 13-of-17 at the charity stripe, and matched her career high with 16 rebounds (7 offensive) in Wednesday's season-opening win at Franciscan. 

Daugherty followed up the opener with a 24-point, 12-rebound effort in Friday's setback at Muskingum.

This is the third-time in her career Daugherty has been named the PAC Player of the Week, and first-time since February 2, 2015. She also earned the award the week of December 15, 2014.

Daugherty and the rest of the Bison will play their home-opener tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22 when they host Kenyon at 5 p.m.
