Bethany Athletics Announces Date for 17th Annual Hugh "Tiger" Joyce Golf Scramble

Bethany W.Va. – Bethany College Department of Athletics has announced that the 17th Annual Hugh "Tiger" Joyce Golf Scramble will take place on Friday, October 8 at Wheeling Country Club.

Registration will begin at 11 am and golfing will begin with a shotgun start at 12:15 pm. The cost is $125 per golfer of $380 for a foursome.

Joyce, a 1958 Bethany graduate, played football for the Bison for four seasons, not missing a game in three years of play. During his career, the Green & White went from a season with two wins to three consecutive winning seasons. A guard and linebacker, he was a captain of the team and earned All-Conference honors. Joyce's legacy is continued every year as Bethany Athletics hosts a Golf Scramble Tournament in his name.
