Windmiller Named Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and Compliance

Bethany, W.Va. – Bethany College Director of Athletics Jill Willson has announced the appointment of Jen Windmiller as the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and Compliance.

"I'm excited for the opportunity to work with all student athletes specifically on their own personal growth in the classroom, their competitive sport and as young adults here at Bethany College" said Windmiller.

"Over the last seven months I've enjoyed working with the women's basketball program - developing great relationships with them on the court and helping their mentality and leadership off the court" said Windmiller. "In that short amount of time, I've also had the pleasure of getting to know athletes from several other programs whether it's from attending games, driving teams, or just around campus."

During her time at Bethany, Windmiller helped the Bison women's basketball team reach the semi-finals for the first time since the 2011-12 season. As the Bison's defensive coordinator her defense held opponents to 55.2 points per game which ranked third in the PAC. Opponents shot 37.1 from the field and 29.3 from behind the arc.

"I am happy for Jen!" said Head Coach Brian Sansom. "Jen made an immediate impact on our program via the relationships she very quickly was able to build with the players! The personal growth programming she brought to our program is first class."

"Jen will excel in her new position as she's a tireless worker and truly cares about the success of each individual" added Sansom. "All our student athletes will benefit from their interactions with Jen because she's a leader, a mentor and she will push them to be the best they can be in the classroom and in their respective sports".

Windmiller joined Bethany in 2022 from her alma mater Augustana. She was named as Augustana women's basketball Associate Head Coach in July of 2015, joining the staff of Head Coach Mark Beinborn. She will continue her role as an assistant on the women's basketball team.
