Football: Robinson, McWhorter preview 2023 season at annual PAC Media Day

LATROBE, Pa. – Bethany College second-year head coach Brandon Robinson and senior wide receiver De'Vaughn McWhorter (Wheeling, W.Va. | Wheeling Park) represented the Bison at the annual Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Football Media Day at the Sis and Herman Dupré Science Pavilion on the campus of Saint Vincent College Wednesday afternoon.

The Bison are picked to finish 11th by the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) coaches, sports information directors, and media. Carnegie Mellon is the league-favorite, while Washington & Jefferson and Westminster round out the top-three.

McWhorter is one of six Bison named to the PAC Players to Watch list. Joining McWhorter on the list are seniors Jordan Aldridge (Wheeling, W.Va. / Wheeling Park), Rondell Lewis (Beachwood, Ohio / Beachwood), and Dadrick Vickers (Miami Gardens, Fla. / Miami Norland) and juniors Markel Ross (Baltimore, Md. / Carver Vocational Technical) and Tre Dean (Atlanta, Ga. / New Manchester).

Following a brief welcome by PAC Commissioner Joe Onderko, Bob Gregg and Mark Uriah were honored as the 2023 recipients of the Dow Carnahan Media Award.

The Bison open up the 2023 season at Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium on Sept. 9, against Washington & Jefferson College. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
