Football: Bison fall to Bearcats on Senior Day
BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College football team hosted the Saint Vincent College Bearcats inside Bison Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Bison fell 29-21 to the Bearcats on senior day.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
- Saint Vincent jumped out to an early 16-0 lead after a field goal and two touchdowns.
- Luke Hilyard scored his first career touchdown with 6:50 in the second quarter. The Bison used an 11 play, 72-yard drive to get on the board.
- With under a minute left in the half, Charlie Mills rushed for a four-yard touchdown. The Bison trailed 16-14 at the half.
- Saint Vincent converted off an interception on the Bethany 11-yard line. The Bearcats used three plays to score a 9-yard touchdown to take a 23-14 lead.
- The Bison would respond with an 85-yard, 10 play drive. Miles Goffe would find senior tight end, Jordan Aldridge for a 5-yard touchdown pass. The Bison would take a 23-21 lead.
- However, the Bearcats would respond one minute later with a 3-yard touchdown run.
- The Bison would fall 29-21.

- (294) – The Bison had 294 total yards of offense on 67 plays with 157 yards passing.
- (1) – Tight End Jordan Aldridge and running back Luke Hilyard both scored their first career touchdown in the loss to Saint Vincent.
LEADERS
- Rondell Lewis led the Bison defense with 15 tackles (six solo). He had one tackle for loss, a quarterback hurry and an interception in his final game as a Bison.
- Tim Mickens led the Bison receivers with 74 yards on six catches.
- On the ground, Charlie Mills had 74 yards on 18 attempts.
- Miles Goffe was 12-for-24 with 157 yards and one touchdown.
