Men's Lacrosse downed by Transylvania

BETHANY, W.Va. (April 22) - The Bethany College men's lacrosse team fell to Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) foe 20-1 on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, Bethany sits at 3-11 n the year and 0-6 in the conference, while Transylvania improves to 9-3 overall and 5-0 in the ORLC.

Tyler Peck (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler) scored the lone goal for the Bison. Goalie Sean Rhodes (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) registered 19 saves on the afternoon.

The Pioneers started hot in the first quarter, scoring seven unanswered goals before going into the locker room with the 12-0 advantage. 

In the first half, Rhodes performed well in net, stopping 12 shots.

In the third quarter, Jake Holland (Canton, Ohio/Jackson) worked his way behind the net and found Peck to crack the scoreboard for the Bison. 

Bethany closes their season up on Thursday, April 27 when they host Saint Vincent for a game set to begin at 5 p.m.
