
Water Bison Compete in First Tri-Meet
BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – Bethany traveled down to the natatorium on West Virginia Wesleyan's campus for a tri-meet that included the Bison, the Bobcats, and the Franciscan Barons/Lady Barons.
Bethany finished third among all teams in the womens' team scores. The Bison competed directly against DII West Virginia Wesleyan on the men's side, where they fell short.
The women's team was victorious in the 200 yard medley. Those four swimmers consisted of Aeriale Knopsnider, Maya Metz, JulieAnne Humpe, and Janyah Withers. They posted a time of 2:11.11.
Knopsnider was also victorious in a solo race. She posted a time of 13:32.81 in the long distance 1000 yard free.
The 100 back was another successful race for the Bison.
Knopsnider took second with a time of 1:10.29. Withers touched the board right behind her clocking a 1:10.53.
On the men's side, the Bison had a few close second place finishes.
Connor McDonald was the runner up in the 50 yard free with a time of 25.76.
Francisco Ramirez Vazquez claimed second in the 100 yard backstroke 1:03.72.

After a year of absence, the Bison will host their first home meet. They will welcome PAC conference member Chatham and DII Wheeling to John J. Knight Natatorium next Saturday for a Tri-Meet.
