Bison Host Tri-Meet in Improved Pool

JOHN J KNIGHT NATATORIUM – Bethany hosted their first meet after a years absence, welcoming President Athletics Conference member Chatham and Wheeling for a tri-meet. 

 

Bethany finished third on the women's side. The men competed individually. Highlights are below:

 

JulieAnn Humpe beat all Chatham competition in the 200 yard medley. She swam a 2:37.44, clearing the swimmer behind by over three seconds. 

 

Jordan Haslacker swam a 1:05.50 in the 100m free. 

 

Jaymie Schafer swam a 30.06 in the 50 freestyle, being the only Bison to swim in that event.



The men's team competed individually, but still managed to take home a few second place finishes. 

 

Connor McDonald was first Bison to finish in the 50 yard free with a time of 26.15.

 

Paco Ramirez claimed second in the 100 yard breaststroke 1:19.90. Ramirez also led the Bison in the 100 freestyle with a time of 56.88.



Bethany's next event will be against the Hiram Terriers. The Bison will travel to Ohio next Saturday, November 2 for a traditional dual meet.
