
Both Women's Relays Score for Bethany
CANTON, Oh – Bethany traveled to Canton, Ohio for the mid-season Malone Invitational. The Bison were able to test themselves against a plethora of teams, having 16 total programs attend. The women were guided by their two relays, making up the majority of their points. They sat in 14th place with 118 points after day two. The men's team did not register a time either day.
The women gained 26 points from their 200 meter medley they swam Friday night. The quartet of Aeriale Knopsnider, Maya Metz, JulieAnne Humpe, and Jordan Haslacker finished with in 1:53.57.
They continued to score well in the relays, picking up 30 points in the 800 yard freestyle. The same four Bison banded together to post a time of 9:29.6, placing them twelfth among the field.
Humpe continued to show success outside of the relays. She won her finals heat in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.44. She dropped nearly one full second compared to her prelim time to earn the Bison six points.
The Bison will continue to swim throughout the entire day today. Link to watch is attached to the schedule. Results will be published later tonight.
