Lehnert Highlights Bison in the Saint Vincent Invitational

Sept. 17 - LATROBE, Pa. - The Bethany College men's and women's cross country teams participated in the Saint Vincent Invitational on Saturday. The men finished 13th with an average time of 31:43 while the women finished the 6k course in 16th with an average time of 31:08.

In the men's 8k race, Jordan Castro (Wahiawa, Hawaii/Leilehua) finished 50th with a time of 29:09 while Donald Bierhals (Cabot, Pa./Knoch) placed 62nd with a time of 30:05. Lucas Liriano (Frederick, Md./Walkersville) finished with a time of 31:52 and Alexander Michalenko (Moon Township, Pa./OLSH) ran a time of 32:14.

For the women, the PAC Rookie of the Week, Kathrin Lehnert (Crailsheim, Germany / Lise-Meitner Gymnasium) finished in the top 25 in consecutive weeks with a time of 24:53. Senior Ashley Worst (Apollo, Pa./Apollo-Ridge) finished 95th with a time of 28:29. 

The Bison will take a week off of competition before they race on Friday, Sept. 30 against Washington and Jefferson. The race is slated to start at 4:15p.m.
