Two top 15 finishes highlight Bethany at PAC Championship

Oct. 29 - LATROBE, Pa. - The Bethany cross country programs participated in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) championship on Saturday hosted by Saint Vincent College. The Bison were highlighted by Jordan Castro (Wahiawa, Hawaii/Leilehua) for the men who finished 10th and Kathrin Lehnert (Crailsheim, Germany/Lise-Meitner Gymnasium) for the women who finished 11th.

As a team, the men placed eighth with Castro running the 8k course in 28:25. Lucas Liriano (Frederick, Md./Walkersville), Austin Davis (Chesapeake, Va./Moanalua), and Donald Bierhals (Cabot, Pa./Knoch) placed 46th, 47th, and 48th, respectively. Liriano ran the course in 31:28, Davis in 31:38, and Bierhals finished in 31:42.

Lehnert placed in the top 15 for the fifth time this season with a time of 25:12 on the 6k course, while Ashley Worst (Apollo, Pa./Apollo-Ridge) finished 41st for the Bison at 27:34 as the women's team finished ninth overall.

 Next, The Green and White will race in the NCAA Regionals on Nov. 12 at 11a.m.
