Women's Basketball: Wheeler Earns PAC Rookie of the Week Honors
Greenville, Pa. - Bethany College freshman guard Ashleigh Wheeler was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Rookie of the Week for her performance last week.
Wheeler averaged 11.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game at Marietta's Jim Meagle Holiday Classic. In Wednesday's loss to Carnegie Mellon she finished with 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting. On Thursday, she totaled 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the 77-52 win over Wooster. Wheeler averaged 34.0 minutes per game in a pair of starts.
Through ten games she is averaging 12.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
The weekly laurel is Wheeler's second of the season.
