Sallah-Mohammed establishes ECAC-mark at Spire Midwest Open

GENEVA, Ohio (Jan. 27) - Sophomore Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed (Arlington, Va./Fishburne Military) registered an Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying mark in the triple jump, as the Bethany College men's indoor track & field team competed at the SPIRE Instiute Midwest Open Saturday.

Sallah-Mohammed established a new personal-record and qualified for the ECAC Indoor Championships in the triple jump with a mark of 13.61 meters to place fifth overall in the competition. The meet featured competitors from across NCAA Division II and III.

Senior Marshall Murray (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills) had another solid performance in the 800-meter run, clocking in at one minute, 57.78 seconds to place 12th overall and just a shade off of an ECAC-mark.

Freshman Michael Speedy (Irondale, Ohio/Edison) also recorded a top-10 mark in the field for the Bison in the long jump with a distance of 6.34 meters to place 10th overall.

Bethany returns to Ohio next Saturday, February 3 when they head to the Mount Union Invitational. A link to live results can be found on the schedule page.
