Swimming and Diving dealt losses by Penn State-Altoona

Nov. 4 – BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College swimming and diving teams were defeated by Penn State-Altoona Friday evening inside the Knight Natatorium. The men fell 128-57, while the women were knocked off by a score of 103-57

Senior Christine Pray (Canton, Mich./Canton) earned a pair of wins on the evening for the women. She won the 500-yard freestyle with a time of five minutes, 51.84 seconds and was the third leg of the 4x400-yard freestyle relay team that finished at four minutes, 33.92 seconds. Joining Pray on the relay team were junior Maria Reichenecker (Heidelberg, Germany), freshman MacKenzie Bosley (Buckhannon, W.Va./Upshur) and sophomore Alaina Geer (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield).

Sophomore Cheyne Stresky (Oxford, Mich./Oxford) won a pair of events for the men. He claimed the 400-yard IM with a time of four minutes, 26.36 seconds and touched the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle at five minutes, 11.40 seconds.

The swimming and diving teams will get back into the pool on Friday, November 11 when they host both Saint Vincent and Chatham at 5 p.m.
