Swimming & Diving teams defeated by Washington & Jefferson

BETHANY, W.Va. (Dec. 7) - The Bison swimming & diving teams were knocked off by Washington & Jefferson Wednesday evening. The men were dealt a 104-83 loss, while the women were defeated 81-49 at the Knight Natatorium pool.

Sophomore Cheyne Stresky (Oxford, Mich./Oxford) finished the 1,650-yard freestyle at 17 minutes, 38.76 seconds to score a victory for the Bison men. He also added a win in the 100-yard backstroke by touching the wall first at 56.29 seconds.

Junior Alaina Geer (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) helped pace the women with a win in the 100-yard backstroke. She finished at one minute, 9.28 seconds to earn nine points towards the women's total.

Stresky, Geer and the rest of the Bethany College swimming & diving teams will break for the holidays, before heading back into the pool on Saturday, January 7 when they travel to nearby Steubenville, Ohio to take on Franciscan and Pitt-Bradford in a tri-meet at 1 p.m.
