The green and white defense held Thiel to 25 yards of offense and intercepted the Tomcats four times in that contest. In October, 1984, the Bison defeated John Carroll University, 20-13 off of quarterback Nick Armino's two rushing touchdowns and kicker Jack Fayak's two field goals. A week after defeating John Carroll in 1984, the Bison stampeded past Thiel 35-13, extending their winning streak to three in the '84 season.
