Gibson named to D3football.com 2019 All-South Region Team

Bethany, W. Va – Bethany College football senior defensive lineman Daniel Gibson was named to the D3football.com 2019 All-South Region Team early Tuesday morning. Gibson was named to the All-South Region Second Team Defense.

The Bethany senior defensive lineman was in the top three in all defensive categories on the team. Gibson finished the season with 62 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss of 51 yards, five sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

Earning All-PAC honors, Gibson earned PAC Defensive Player of the Week honors this season after registering four sacks for 30 yards and six tackles for a loss of 34 yards against Thiel on Nov. 9. Gibson finished the season with 62 tackles, 5 sacks, 12.5 tackles for loss, while forcing three tackles, and recovering one.

Gibson is the sixth Bethany player to earn All-South from D3football.com since its regional awards began in 2005. He received D3football.com All-South Region Third Team honors in the 2018 season.
