Football Concludes 2019 with Loss at Saint Vincent

Latrobe, Pa – The Bethany College football team traveled to Latrobe, Pa for a PAC contest against the Saint Vincent Bearcats Saturday afternoon. The Bison ended the 2019 season with a 27-10 loss to the Bearcats.

Game Overview

 The Bison got on the board first, taking advantage of a Bearcat fumble on the opening drive. Senior Daniel Gibson forced the fumble and freshman Dadrick Vickers scooped up the fumble to give the Bison the ball at the Bethany three yard line. Junior quarterback Dom Salinetro connected with senior Raekwon Wright for a 12 yard touchdown. The Bison led Saint Vincent 7-0 at the end of the first.

At the beginning of the second quarter, the Bearcats' Mike Stasko rushed for a 56 yard touchdown to knot the game at 7-7. Later in the quarter, the Bearcats took a 13-7 lead and never looked back.

The Green and White cut the lead on the next drive, 13-10 off of the foot of Sean Cole who connected with a 39 yard field goal. Saint Vincent led 13-10 at the half. A pair of Saint Vincent touchdowns in the second half gave the Bearcats a commanding lead. The Bison were held scoreless in the second half.
