Men's Golf Selected Ninth in Preseason Poll
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Bethany College men's golf team was picked to finish ninth in the Presidents Athletic Conference (PAC) preseason poll, in a vote of the conference coaches, the league announced today (August 29, 2024).
"I think our team has a lot of potential this year," said Bethany Bison Head Golf Coach Kailey Pettit. "They've been working really hard, and I believe it's going to show this season."
Bethany finished last in the poll with 15 points, but has doubled their roster size with incoming talent in 2024.
The returning PAC champions, Allegheny, earned eight first place votes. Their 64 points put them in a clear first place. Washington and Jefferson was the only other school to receive a first palace vote, finishing in second with 52 points.
The Presidents were followed by Westminster (49), Grove City (48), Saint Vincent (29), Geneva (28), Thiel (23), Waynesburg (16), and Bethany (15).
The Bison will host the Bethany College Invitational to kick off the year. The invite will be held at Oglebay Resort at 10 a.m. September 10.
