Bethany Drops Match vs Denison

Bethany traveled to Denison for a Labor Day matchup. After fighting to keep it close in the first half, the Denison offense proved to be too much. Denison earned a win over the Bison 7-0. 

INSIDE THE BOX

• The Bison continued to struggle gaining momentum on offense, forcing the defense to fight on their own end of the field. 

• Bethany survived three corners and two shots in less than three minutes, but a ricochet off of the second save by Matteo Pintus gave Denison a perfect opportunity for their first goal of the game. 

• Pintus collected six more saves, bringing his first-half total to eight. He finished the game with 10 total saves.

• Denison scored again more making it a 2-0 game at halftime.

• The Big Red offense capitalized at an even higher rate in the second half, proving to be too much for the Bison defense. 

Bethany (0-2) will continue their week of away games against Mary Washington (2-0) on Friday (September 6). Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
