MSOC Falters vs Allegheny

HOAG FIELD- The Bethany Bison hosted the Allegheny Gators on a beautiful fall day down at Hoag Field. The Bison were able to crank 14 shots, but none resulted in a change in the scoreboard. The Gators took home a 1-0 victory.

Bethany played another physical conference game. There were 15 total fouls and five yellow cards. The physicality played in the favor of the Bison, who were able to take away a few premier scoring opportunities in place of a foul.

Matteo Pintus played a great game in goal. The most athletic save of the day came 15 minutes in. Pintus laid out for a ball in the top right corner of the net, getting what seemed like a full minute of air time. He totaled nine saves and one goal allowed on a rocket of a shot out of arm's reach.

The Bison launched seven shots on goal, but not many put the Gator goalie in conflict. The best chance to score came with Pedro Chillemi gaining possession off a corner in the 36th minute. Chillemi had a chance an arms length away from the goal line, but flared a shot wide of the goal.

The Bison (0-11-2) will look to convert on those opportunities Wednesday against Washignton and Jefferson (6-8-1). They'll host at Hoag with kickoff happening at 4:30 p.m.
