Bethany defeated by Geneva, 7-2

BETHANY, W.Va. (March 27) - The Bethany College men's tennis team was knocked off 7-2 by Geneva in a Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) match inside the TPJ Health and Recreation Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior Chris Ray (Henrico, Va./Mills E. Godwin) and junior Drake Berlin (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) gave the Bison their first point of the evening with an 8-4 win at No. 1 Doubles over the Geneva team of Alex Beck and Nate Heidengren.
- Bethany would drop the other two doubles spots to enter singles play trailing 2-1.
- Berlin continued his strong play at No. 2 singles with a straight sets 6-4, 6-4 win over Heidengren. Berlin is a team-best 3-3 overall in singles play this season.
- Despite the win at No. 2 singles, the Bison were unable to claim any other victories and were dealt the loss.
UP NEXT
- Bethany is back on the tennis courts on Wednesday, April 4 when they host Westminster for a league match.
- The two teams will square off at 4 p.m.
